The 2023/24 Beautiful South Tourism Awards are now open and tourism and hospitality businesses from South East England are invited to enter. The awards offer businesses the chance to win not only locally, but to progress – for matching categories – to the national VisitEngland awards.
The categories include pubs, cafes and restaurants as well as accommodation, spa, wedding and business venues, attractions, events and experiences. There are also awards for unsung heroes, new businesses, dog friendly, accessibility and sustainability.
Feedback from last year’s entrants listed the benefits of entering as increasing bookings, generating PR, free feedback, making great contacts, boosting staff morale and helping with recruitment.
Fran Downton, Tourism South East says “Like any of industry, in tourism quality counts and businesses at the top of their game should receive the recognition they deserve. We run the Beautiful South Awards each year so that these businesses can lead the way for the South East and inspire those around them. We also know that our South East tourism businesses can compete with the best in the country. This year we are encouraging all those that hit the highest of standards to become involved and enter these prestigious regional awards and take the journey through to competing nationally.”
Online workshops are being held to help businesses complete their entry forms, and ask any questions on 17 and 23 May. Places are limited and must be booked via the website.
Entries must be submitted online no later than the deadline of midnight on Sunday 18 June; more details can be found here.
