The 2025 Beautiful South Tourism Awards have now officially closed and the focus moves to the judging phase.
Fran Downton, Chief Executive of Tourism South East said, “These awards highlight the incredible people and places that make the South East so special. I would like to thank our dedicated judges, who go through rigorous training, and our fantastic sponsors and supporters who help make the awards possible. We’re also thrilled to see last year’s Beautiful South Winner, the Montagu Arms, competing in the national VisitEngland Awards for Excellence in the Small Hotel of the Year category on 4 June – especially as the event is taking place here in South East England.”
Nell Barrington, Awards Director, Services for Tourism, said, “The quality of entries this year has been outstanding. A huge thank you to everyone who put the hours in to submit their entries, which I saw coming in as late as 11.57pm on the closing day! We look forward to celebrating the winners at the Grand Brighton in December.”
These awards continue to set the bar nationally, having once again achieved “Outstanding” accreditation from the Awards Trust Mark – the highest level. Karen Sutton, Awards Trust Mark lead assessor, said, “A robust entry and judging process is vital, not just for award entrants but for the industry as a whole. It’s important to shine a light on awards schemes that operate with the highest ethical standards and transparency. The tourism awards run by Services for Tourism exemplify how awards should be managed.”
