Tourism South East Beautiful South Awards – Code of Conduct

The Tourism South East Beautiful South Awards celebrate outstanding achievement across the region. To ensure the awards remain fair, inclusive, and respectful, all entrants, judges, partners, sponsors, and attendees are expected to follow this Code of Conduct.

Our Commitment
We aim to create an environment where everyone feels welcome, valued, and treated with respect. Participation in the awards means agreeing to uphold the standards below.

Integrity
• Provide accurate and honest information in all submissions and communications.
• Act transparently and avoid any behaviour that could undermine the credibility of the awards.
• Do not attempt to influence judging outcomes in any way.

Respect
• Treat all individuals with courtesy, professionalism, and consideration.
• Avoid discriminatory, offensive, or inappropriate behaviour.
• Support an environment where diversity and different perspectives are recognised and appreciated.

Fairness
• Entrants must compete on equal terms and follow all published criteria.
• Judges must assess entries impartially and declare any conflicts of interest.
• Confidentiality must be maintained regarding entries, judging discussions, and results prior to announcement.

Responsibility
• Ensure that any information, materials, or claims submitted are lawful, ethical, and appropriate.
• Demonstrate care for the wider community and environment in all activities connected to the awards.
• Represent the awards positively in all public and professional settings.

Conduct at Events
All attendees at Beautiful South Awards events are expected to:
• Behave respectfully toward others, including staff, volunteers, and fellow guests.
• Avoid disruptive, aggressive, or inappropriate behaviour.
• Follow venue policies and any health and safety guidance.

Breaches of the Code
If this Code of Conduct is not followed, the organisers may take appropriate action. This can include issuing warnings, removing individuals from events, disqualifying entries, withdrawing awards, or declining future participation.

Agreement
By taking part in the Tourism South East Beautiful South Awards, all individuals and organisations agree to uphold this Code of Conduct and contribute to a positive and inspiring celebration of excellence.
