Tourism businesses from across the South East came together last night to celebrate at the prestigious Grand Hotel, Brighton. 260 guests attended the event, hosted with trademark energy and warmth by Toby Anstis, the much-loved presenter of Heart Dance Breakfast.
A total of 72 awards were presented, recognising excellence across accommodation, food and drink, attractions, experiences, events, visitor information, unsung heroes, wedding and business venues, as well as dog-friendly, sustainable and accessible businesses. In addition, a Special Recognition Award was given to the team at Fresco DeliKafessen, in Guildford, for their exceptional and sustained engagement with the Beautiful South Tourism Awards and their local community.
Fran Downton, Chief Executive of Tourism South East, said, “Congratulations to all of last night’s winners and thank you to all our sponsors and supporters. It was a pleasure to celebrate the hard work, professionalism and commitment across our region. The South East continues to set a high bar, and everyone recognised should feel incredibly proud.”
Awards Director Nell Barrington added, “It was a brilliant celebration with such a positive atmosphere. The winners were outstanding and really show what makes the South East so special. Huge congratulations to them all, and heartfelt thanks to everyone who took the time to enter and support these awards.”
